Summer glau

Firefly was Whedon's next hit show, and it's safe to say that she made an impact. Summer Glau's River Tam character was complex and Glau was able to handle it. Tam in the film, as her character from the film was called, was subjected to tests by the government that were intended to help her become a successful assassin. Tam's ability to manage emotions is taken from her. Glau was able to display her combat abilities as well as her acting abilities on Firefly. Being being trained to be an assassin enabled Glau to make the most of her athletic skills. Summer Glau is a classically educated ballerina. A broken toe was the last straw in her life as a dancer. Firefly featured only one episode however it was an enormous success. It was so passionate that Whedon came back to the show after a few years.
